I've been playing music since a teenager in Britain; first skiffle, then folk music, rock, dance band and jazz. I stopped playing when I came to New Zealand in 1974 but took it up again around 1999 when Rusdikbil, a skiffle band, was formed with Bill Hainstock and Richard Parsons. We soon moved onto jazz.
I reformed the local jazz club early this century meeting at Tillermans. The House Band, Windjammers, with varied line-ups has been playing every since independently of the club and I fill the guitar/vocals spot. I fill the same chair in a number of other spin-off groups including Menage a Trois, Rose 'n Thorns and the Hot Club of Southland.
